Dr Frazer Underwood is a Clinical Academic based in Cornwall. He is an established Consultant Nurse in Older People Services and Rehabilitation and after completing his PhD took on a joint role between Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Plymouth as an Associate Clinical Professor. Frazer’s research interests are two-fold; one continuing to explore his doctoral study focus on the notion of confidence from the perspective of older people and its connection to intermediate care services, and the second, supporting junior colleagues developing their research interest and careers. He is Co-Director of the South West Clinical School in Cornwall, that exists to grow NMAHP clinical academic careers. Frazer is currently seconded part-time to the South West Peninsular Clinical Research network as Chief Nursing Officer for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professions.
