The East Anglia region have a thriving community of geriatricians and allied health professionals who are committed to improving the care of older people.

BGS England has the greatest number of members among the four devolved nations of the United Kingdom. It is divided into fourteen regions, of which Mersey is one, and each region holds up to two local one-day meetings each year, held in a local hospital or venue within the region

The Trent region includes a wide geographic area of the East Midlands, including the counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. Within these counties there are a diverse range of busy city hospitals and more rural community hospitals, all caring for older people.
