Dr Natasha Fothergill-Misbah is a Researcher at Newcastle University, working on a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Global Health Research Group on Parkinson’s disease in Africa. Her background is in Biomedical Sciences and Global Public Health. In her previous post, she was a Lecturer in Gerontology based in the School of Economic, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Southampton. Her research mainly uses qualitative methods and has focussed around ageing and gerontology, Parkinson’s disease, access to healthcare and, more recently, the impact of climate change on the health of older people. Natasha is also interested in how research can influence policies to support older people.
