The British Geriatrics Society collaborates with other national geriatrics societies as well as international organisations concerned with raising the profile of geriatric medicine internationally and with improving standards in the delivery of care for older people.

European Geriatric Medicine Society (EUGMS)

In 1999 a group of geriatricians met to promote the concept of a society whose aim would be to to develop geriatric medicine in all of the European Union countries and encourage the provision of geriatric medical services to all older EU citizens. It would promote education, continuing professional development and high quality evidence-based geriatric medicine.

American Geriatrics Society

The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is a nationwide, not-for-profit society of geriatrics healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the health, independence, and quality of life of older people.

International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG)

The mission of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics is to promote the highest levels of achievement in gerontological research and training worldwide, and to interact with other international, inter-governmental and non-governmental organisations in the promotion of gerontological interests globally and on behalf of its member associations.

Rosemont

This company has over 50 years dedicated experience in developing oral liquid medicines, both licensed and unlicensed ‘specials’, across a range of therapeutic categories. Their mission is to be a rapid developer, reliable manufacturer and global supplier of novel-delivery, patient-focused medicines. They were established as 'Friends' of the BGS in 2021.
