Activity and Resources

In our first meeting, we discussed leadership careers and reviewed some of those that were bravely shared by the COP facilitators.

Now take a look at your own leadership career to date.

  1. Draw up your own career timeline, to include:

What significant experience and opportunities have you had?

  • Education including training programmes
  • Work/employment experience
  • Professional roles held

You could draw this out on a powerpoint slide or other document, to give a linear picture of your career progress and the formative influences and outcomes for your career

  1. Thinking of your career now and in the future, take a look at some of the Health Education England Careers unit resources including the SCAN model of career planning:

https://londonprofessionaldevelopment.hee.nhs.uk/professional-developme…

  1. Bring your own career timeline and any issues you would like to share or discuss to the next Communities of Practice workshop
