The GIRFT national report for geriatric medicine was published in autumn 2021. Dr Adrian Hopper will discuss key recommendations in the report which encourage a comprehensive approach to the management of frailty in older people.
The webinar will also welcome Professor Tom Downes (BGS clinical lead for quality and a consultant geriatrician at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), who will present how the implementation of the report recommendations can help quality improvement in frailty care; and Tom Gentry (senior health influencing manager for policy at Age UK), who will offer a user perspective on the importance of improving frailty care.
Dr Jugdeep Dhesi, previous BGS quality lead, will be joining the discussion panel, where you will have an opportunity to ask questions.
