This report looks at data collected by the Royal College of Physicians on the consultant workforce.

This report is a follow-up of the BGS COVID-19 workforce report Through the visor: Reflecting on member experiences of the COVID-19 first wave. Like the first report, this follow-up was based on a survey of members on their experiences of working through the pandemic.

As the country moved out of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, BGS issued a survey to its members to find out about their experiences of working through the pandemic and their concerns going forward. This report summarises its findings and sets out actions for the future.

This report is intended to explore how messages of prevention and healthy ageing apply to a population group that may already be ill and frail, and to the healthcare professionals who care for them.

NICE impact reports review how NICE recommendations for evidence-based and cost-effective care are being used in priority areas of the health and care system, helping to improve outcomes where this is needed most.

All undergraduate curricula must have a core consisting of the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes which students must have by the time they graduate. These enable students to develop self-directed learning and become familiar with research and presentation skills.

The RCP Guidance on safe medical staffing aims to help those planning hospital services to answer: ‘How many doctors or their alternatives, with what capabilities, do we need to provide safe, timely and effective care for patients with medical problems?'.
