The safety of all attending BGS meetings is our number one priority. We are conscious that geriatricians and multidisciplinary professionals are caring for older people living with frailty and multi-morbidity, who are known to be particularly vulnerable to the virus. We do not want to put anyone - and particularly those whose job it is to look after the health of those who are ill – at additional risk.
We encourage people attending BGS meetings to take a lateral flow test before attending. If the test is positive or you are feeling unwell, please do not visit or attend an event.
All in person attendees can access the content online, if your circumstances change. We have a flexible cancellation policy in that if your circumstances change:
- If you can't come in person, and tell us more than 2 weeks before the meeting we will refund the difference between inperson and online fee
- If you can't come in person, and inform us less than 2 weeks before the meeting we can't refund you but can transfer to a colleague. If you can't transfer the registration place to anyone, you can still watch the online content live or on-demand for up to 12 months
CPD certificates are only issues if you attend in person or online and record your attendance with the button - "Record CPD attendance today". You will need to check in everyday you attend for this to be recorded on your certificate.
We also encourage you to keep your distance, keep washing/ sanitising and if possible wear a face covering.
