Lessons Learnt From the Fracture Liaison Service FLS Database - Rachel Bradley

The Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme (FFFAP) is a national clinical audit run by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) designed to audit the care that patients with fragility fractures and to facilitate quality improvement initiatives. A new national Fracture Liaison Service FLS database was developed in 2015 and the first report was publised in 2016. This presentation will reflect on the results to date, lessons learnt and suggest ways in which FLS services might improve.

Falls and the Bladder - William Gibson

There is a well-recognised but unexplained association between falls and lower urinary tract symptoms such as urgency, nocturia, and incontinence in older people. In this presentation we will review the evidence for this association and review the recent developments in the understanding of the possible underlying causes, concentrating on the effects of the bladder on cognitive function and gait.
